London police have pressed charges against a woman who allegedly got into a dispute with officers after she reportedly broke into an east end home over the weekend.
According to investigators, police were contacted at around 10:50 p.m. Saturday for a report of an altercation between two women in the area of Marconi Boulevard and Marconi Court.
Following the disturbance, one of the women returned to her residence to call 911, when the other woman allegedly broke in through a window. She took off after learning officers had been contacted, police said.
The officers were provided with a description of the woman, however she reportedly fled into a second residence when police located her.
Police claim the accused threatened officers and assaulted one of them while they attempted to apprehend her. She was taken into custody a short time later.
One of the officers suffered minor injuries during the incident.
A 32-year-old London woman has since been charged with breaking and entering with intent, assaulting a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 18.
