'Edged weapon' pulled during Perth East road rage incident

A 52-year-old Woodstock man has been charged in a road rage incident that saw a driver threatened with a knife north of Stratford.

Perth County OPP were called about the disturbance on Line 36 in Perth East shortly before 1 p.m. on Wednesday. A person driving in the area reported that another driver had flashed an "edged weapon" at them.

A description of the suspect vehicle was provided to police. Officers arrested a 52-year-old Woodstock man without incident shortly after. He has since been charged with dangerous driving, assault, and assault with a weapon.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Stratford court in relation to the charges on August 21.

The victim in the incident suffered minor injuries, police said.
