A severe thunderstorm system was tracked near parts of London and the surrounding area late Monday afternoon.
At around 3:18 p.m., Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for London, Eastern Middlesex County, and Oxford County.
Just before 5 p.m., the warning was lifted.
The weather agency said the storm was capable of producing up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
Thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are like to produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging wind, and torrential rainfall.
