Cyclist hurt in St. Thomas hit-and-run

A cyclist suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run in St. Thomas Saturday.

Police were called to the collision on Wellington Street near First Avenue early in the morning. When officers arrived they learned a cyclist was hit from behind by a grey/silver sedan.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene, police said.

The cyclist was taken to hospital for further assessment.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
