Strathroy man accused of causing ruckus in drive-thru

A Strathroy man has been accused of impaired driving after provincial police responded to a complaint at a fast food chain last Friday night.

According to Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police, officers responded to a Tim Hortons restaurant at around 10:52 p.m. June 30 for a report of a driver causing a disturbance while in the drive-thru line.

Police arrived and located the suspect at the business and performed a roadside stop.

Officers determined the man had consumed alcohol prior to the incident and an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was used.

A 37-year-old Strathroy resident was arrested and charged with impaired operation with a blood alcohol level exceeding 80 milligrams.

The accused has been released with a future court date of August, 24.
