A day after a stabbing that left a London man with life-threatening injuries, two people, including a 17-year-old, have been charged.
London police were called to the incident on Emery Street west of Wharncliffe South around 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday. Officers found a man suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Two suspects were arrested nearby.
On Thursday, police announced the pair, a 30 year-old man and a 17-year-old male, were charged jointly with aggravated assault. The names of the two accused are not being released, as doing so could potentially identify the teen who cannot be named due to his age.
Investigators do not believe the stabbing was a random incident, police previously said.
The investigation by the major crime section is ongoing.
