Investigators have arrested two people accused in the death of a man found near a south London park late last month.
The body of 36-year-old Levi Jordan Brown was discovered in a drainage ditch off of Base Line Road West near Beachwood Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on March 25. Officers had been called to the area for a welfare check. The death was immediately deemed suspicious and later a homicide.
On Tuesday afternoon, London police announced the arrests of two London residents.
As a result, 29-year-old Cheyanne Metatawabin is charged with manslaughter. She was arrested Tuesday while the co-accused, 35-year-old Christian MacGuyver Williams, was arrested last Monday, April 3. He is accused of accessory after the fact and offering an indignity to a dead body.
The pair were reportedly known to Brown. They remain in police custody awaiting upcoming court dates.
Anyone with information related to the case is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
