Keira Grewal was reported missing after she was last seen on Thursday at around 9 p.m. in the area of Bridle Path and Country Lane.
A missing person notice was issued Saturday morning as the Grewal family and police were concerned for the teen's welfare.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., police said Grewal had been located and was safe.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
