Middlesex County OPP have closed an intersection in Adelaide Metcalfe after a fatal collision on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened at the corner of Kerwood Road and Melwood Drive around 1:50 p.m. Police say a pickup truck and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) were involved.
The local fire department, emergency medical services, and Ornge air ambulances responded to the scene.
Police say the driver of the SUV was transported to hospital in critical condition, and later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased is being held pending next-of-kin notification.
Two other people who were in the SUV were taken to hospital by land ambulance and Air Ornge with serious injuries.
The occupants inside the pickup truck only suffered minor injuries.
The area was closed to traffic until late Saturday night for the investigation.
