Police probing gunfire

An investigation has been launched after evidence of gunfire was found in a southeast London neighbourhood.

According to London police, officers were called to Shelborne Street, in the area of Pond Mills Road and Commissioners Road East, around 1:35 a.m. Wednesday. A 911 call had come in regarding the sound of gunshots in the area.

"There were no injuries reported, however, evidence indicating that a firearm had been discharged was located at the scene," police said.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
