Three men sought after armed home invasion near downtown

A person hit with a baseball bat during a violent home invasion near downtown London suffered minor injuries.

London police were called to the home on William Street south of Hill Street around 2:45 p.m. on Monday.

Investigators have determined three men, armed with a handgun, baseball bat, and a knife forced their way inside the home. When those efforts failed, one of the residents was struck with the baseball bat before the trio took off from the home with drugs and cash.

The three drove away from the scene in a nearby vehicle, police said.

One of the residents suffered minor injuries in the violent encounter but did not require medical treatment.

Police are now searching for three suspects. The first is described as Caucasian, approximately 6’2”, with a slim build. He was wearing a ski mask and goggles. The other two men are said to be Caucasian, roughly 6’0”, with slim builds. No description of their clothing was provided.

Anyone with information about this home invasion is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
