A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Byron.
Emergency crews were called to the collision on Commissioners Road West at Grand View Avenue around 6:20 a.m. on Friday.
Paramedics took the pedestrian to hospital with what have been described as "serious" injuries.
The vehicle involved did remain at the scene, police confirmed.
No other details about the collision have been provided, with police noting they are in the early stages of the investigation.
Officers with the traffic management unit were on scene probing the incident throughout the morning.
Commissioners Road West between Chestnut Hill and Grand View Avenue was closed to all traffic for more than five hours. It was reopened just after noon.
