Man stabbed during break-in at west London home

One man is in hospital with serious injuries and another is in police custody after a stabbing at a west London home.

London police were called about a break and enter that was in progress at the home on Paddington Avenue, west of Wharncliffe Road south just after 11 a.m. Tuesday. The caller told police that a man had broken into his home and stabbed him.

When officers arrived on scene they found a man suffering serious injuries. He was taken to hospital.

Police arrested a suspect in the incident during a search of the area. So far, no charges have been laid.

"The investigation is in its early stages, and more information will be provided as it becomes available," Constable Sandasha Bough said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
