A two-vehicle crash west of Waterford has claimed the lives of two people.
Emergency crews were called to the crash involving an SUV and car at the intersection of Highway 24 and Concession 7 Townsend around 1:40 p.m. Thursday.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the same vehicle suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital where they later died, Norfolk County OPP said.
The OPP identified the deceased as 90-year-old Karl Tabe and 80-year-old Kathleen Tabe.
A child and two adults in the SUV were taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash and are asking anyone who was traveling through the area at the time who witnessed it or has dash-cam footage to call them at 1-888-310-1122.
