19-year-old Londoner charged in Monday night stabbing

Just two days after a stabbing that sent a man to London hospital with life-threatening injuries, London police say they've made an arrest.

Shaun Winstanley, 19, of London has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident on Nelson Street earlier this week. Winstanley made his first court appearance in relation to the charges on Tuesday.

Police received a 911 call around 7:15 p.m. Monday about a man who had been stabbed on Nelson near Lansdowne Avenue.

Emergency crews arrived to find a man suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As of Wednesday, the man remains in hospital.
