Charges have been laid against a 29-year-old Woodstock man after a weekend dispute between two people ended with one being assaulted and robbed.
Woodstock police were called to a Bay Street property where they found a 32-year-old man who had been attacked around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday.
Investigators determined the 32-year-old and another man, who was known to him, had got into a confrontation. The dispute escalated with one man assaulting the other and then stealing property from bags the victim was carrying.
Police arrested a Woodstock man in connection to the incident just after midnight on Sunday in the area of Graham Street and Brant Street. He is charged with robbery with intent and failure to comply with a probation order.
