UPDATE: Charges laid after shots fired in east London

London police say two people are now facing charges after shots rang out Monday morning.

Police were called to the area of Dundas and Wavell streets around 11 a.m. after several callers to 911 reported hearing gunfire.

"Officers attended the area, and determined that a firearm had been discharged and a business had sustained damage. There were no reported injuries," police said.

Two people were taken into custody and police say officers seized 27 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, two bags of Dilaudid 8 mg pills, three scales with residue, and a large quantity of Canadian currency.

A 33-year-old Londoner is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.

A 25-year-old from London is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
