Stolen Mastiff-Shepherd reunited with family

After a three week search, a dog stolen with the family truck from a north London parking lot has been found safe.

London police announced on Monday that Jaxx, a 60 lbs, brown, one and a half year-old Mastiff-Shepherd mix, has been reunited with his owners. No details about where the pup was found have been released.

Jaxx had been missing since June 6. He was sitting inside a black 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in a parking lot in the area of Fanshawe Park Road West and Richmond Street when the vehicle was stolen around 4:30 p.m. on that date.

Police were quick to post pictures of the dog to social media in hopes he would be found unharmed.

The stolen pickup truck has not yet been located. It is described as having distinct orange trim around the hood and grill and bears the Ontario licence plate AP44762. Police advise anyone who spots the truck not to approach it, but to call them immediately at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
