Police search for man accused of assault in north London

London police are looking for a man accused of battering a cyclist in the city's northeast end on Thursday.

At around 3:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Kipps Lane and Adelaide Street North for an altercation. Officers were told that a man was riding his bicycle, when another man he'd never met, reportedly came up to him and assaulted him.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries during the incident.

Police have since released a photo (shown above) of the accused and are hopeful that the public can help with identifying him.

The suspect is described as a White man, between the ages of 35-45, with a medium to heavy set build. He was wearing a black baseball cap navy t-shirt during the alleged assault.

The investigation is ongoing. London police are asking anyone with information or video of the incident, to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
