'You're lucky this time': pair tries to coax Woodstock girl into vehicle

Woodstock police are looking for a man and a woman who allegedly tried to coax a young girl into their vehicle.

The girl was walking home from school on Friday when a vehicle pulled up alongside her at the corner of Springbank Avenue and Cree Avenue. A person in the vehicle told the girl they were friends of the girl's mother and that she had asked them to pick her up.

The girl did not get in the vehicle and instead began running away. The vehicle proceeded to drive by her and the passenger yelled "you’re lucky this time 13-year-old," police said.

The vehicle is described as a red dodge caravan with dark black flames and dark red outline. The driver is described as a Caucasian man with short blue hair, while the passenger was reportedly a Caucasian woman whose hair was half black and half blue.

Police said the incident serves as a good reminder for parents to regularly discuss safety planning with their children. They also advise children to walk in groups whenever possible and avoid speaking with strangers.

The investigation is on-going.
