London woman's decision to go 'all in' nets $113K lotto prize

A retired London teacher didn't need a good poker face to win more than $113,000.

Sandra Dyson anted up an additional dollar to go "all in" on the March 31 Poker Lotto All In instant lottery game to claim the $113,078.80 jackpot.

"I got to the store five minutes before they closed and played this hand of Poker Lotto,” Dyson said while claiming her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I was watching the cards come up and the man behind me in line said I think you won $5,000. I thought to myself, ‘I think I won $113,000.’ I was shocked."

Dyson plans to use the six-figure prize to pay some bills, make some donations to the local food bank, and support the people of Ukraine.

“It feels wonderful,” Dyson said.

The winning ticket was purchased at London Towers Convenience Store on Dundas Street.
