UPDATE: Elgin OPP identify London man as victim in fatal crash

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from Elgin County have identified a London man as the driver killed in a crash near Dutton last Sunday.

At 12:45 p.m., police received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Currie Road. Members of the OPP, Dutton-Dunwich Fire Services, and Elgin County Emergency Medical Services attended and determined that a sedan and a delivery truck collided at the location.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger of the sedan and driver of the delivery truck were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The area was closed for nearly four hours while members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team investigated.

On Tuesday, police confirmed the identity of the driver in the sedan as 61-year-old Kerry Box of London.

No other details have been released. Police continue to investigate the crash.
