Former London teacher accused of sexually harassing colleagues

A disciplinary hearing has been scheduled for next month for a former Thames Valley District School board teacher accused of making an array of sexual comments and inappropriately touching several colleagues.

Donald Yeoman will go before the Ontario College of Teachers' discipline committee on May 18. He is accused of professional misconduct for allegedly committing acts that would be regarded as “as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional."

The hearing notice outlines incidents between Yeoman and seven female colleagues alleged to have taken place between 2015 and 2018. The allegations include the following:

-Yeoman allegedly asked a female colleague "do I make you moist?" and shared details of a personal sexual relationship he had with another colleague at the school. -He allegedly walked up behind a colleague who was bent over a table and pretended to grab her buttocks, invited her to sit on his lap, and made comments on her breasts. -Yeoman is alleged to have whistled and made clicking sounds at a colleague as she walked down the hall before winking and saying "hey trouble." -On multiple occasions he is alleged to have blocked an exit with his body to prevent a colleague from leaving a room, according to the college. -He is accused of pulling a chair out from a colleague as they were about to sit down, then wiggling his fingers upward on the chair. -On more than one occasion he "checked out" and catcalled a colleague, the profession’s regulatory body said. -He allegedly asked another colleague if she wanted to be spanked, hugged her, and made other inappropriate comments. -In February 2018, Yeoman is said to have pulled a colleague's hoodie up over his head and pushed his groin into her buttocks area.

Yeoman was terminated by the Thames Valley District School Board in May 2018. Roughly a year and a half later he pleaded guilty in criminal court to simple assault in relation to the incident in which a colleague's hoodie was pulled up and she was touched sexually. On December 11, 2019, Yeoman was given an absolute discharge by the court.

Yeoman has been registered with the college since graduating from Western University's teachers college in 2011. At present, he is listed as a teacher in good standing.
