Days after a 16-year-old was critically hurt in a disturbance in Norwich, a 19-year-old has been charged.

Oxford OPP were called to a home on Main Street East just before 11 p.m. last Friday where they found the 16-year-old suffering injuries from an "edged weapon." The teen was taken to hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.

An investigation determined there was an altercation between two people that ended with the teen being hurt.

A 19-year-old Brantford resident has been charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failure to comply with sentence. That individual remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
