Ingersoll woman charged after two police officers assaulted

A disagreement between two people in Ingersoll ended with two police officers assaulted and a 21-year-old woman charged.

Oxford OPP were called about a disturbance at a home on John Street around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. When officers arrived they found two people arguing.

Polilce say one officer was assaulted while trying to resolve the dispute.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested and, while in police custody, is alleged to have assaulted a second officer.

Injuries were minor, police said.

An Ingersoll woman, 21, has been charged with one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and two counts of assaulting a peace officer.

She is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges at a later date.
