TVDSB identify more COVID-19 in schools

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) has detected probable cases of COVID-19 in 10 schools.

A single case has been identified by public health units in each of the following schools:

• Clarke Road Secondary School

• Clara Brenton Public School

• Wilberforce Public School

• C.C. Carrothers Public School

• J.S. Buchanan French Immersion Public School

• A.B. Lucas Secondary School

• Sir Arthur Currie Public School

• Ashley Oaks Public School

• Ryerson Public School

• H.B. Beal Secondary School

"If you do not receive a letter from Thames Valley indicating the public health unit has identified your child as a close contact, your child is not considered to be at risk," the TVDSB said in a release.

Those affected are asked to quarantine for a period of 10 days.

The school board is currently tracking 62 cases of COVID-19.

A full list of cases can be found on the TVDSB website.

Both the TVDSB and London Catholic District School Board have advised families to have their children bring home all belongings and materials needed for virtual learning, though it hasn't been decided if schools will shift from in-person learning in the new year.
