A 25-year-old woman has been charged in the death of a teenager on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation earlier this year.
Wayne Donald Grosbeck, 17, died following a disturbance at a home on Switzer Drive on June 27. He was one of two people taken to hospital after the incident. An autopsy was completed in the days that followed which led police to rule the Saunders Secondary student's death a homicide. A cause of death was never released.
On Wednesday, police announced Tristan Grosbeck, 25, of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation had been charged with second degree murder in relation to the case. She was scheduled to make her first court appearance in London the same day.
Police would not confirm whether the two were related, however an online obituary lists a Tristan Grosbeck as the teen's sibling.
