New cases and outbreak declared in London schools

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) has confirmed possible new cases of COVID-19 at four London schools.

Mountsfield Public School, Riverside Public School, and Tecumseh Public School have each added a possible case, while an outbreak has been declared at West Oaks French Immersion Public School.

"Thames Valley wishes to assure the community that all staff, parents and guardians of the school communities were immediately notified," the school board said in a statement.

Only staff and students who have been identified as close contacts will be notified and advised to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 10 days.

TVDSB has identified 50 possible cases of COVID-19 across area schools.

All confirmed active cases are tracked on the school board's website.
