Two more London-area schools have detected new cases of COVID-19.
The Thames Valley District School Board reported one new case Monday at Caradoc Public School in Mount Brydges and the other new case Saturday at Eagle Heights Public School in London.
All staff, parents and guardians within the school community were notified of the cases immediately, the board said.
The Middlesex London Health Unit is following up with close contacts of the infected individuals.
"If you do not receive a letter from Thames Valley indicating the public health unit has identified your child as a close contact, your child is not considered to be at risk," the board said. "Only those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact will be notified and advised to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 10 days."
Currently, the Thames Valley board has one COVID-19 outbreak at Ryerson Public School and a total of 19 active cases at 16 schools. The London District School Board has an ongoing outbreak at St. Kateri Elementary School and two active cases at one elementary school and one high school.
