Firefighters rescued one person after a canoe capsized in a south London pond over the weekend.
Fire crews were called to Walkers Pond behind the Tourism London Welcome Centre on Wellington Road around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Two people went into the water after their canoe overturned.
One of the individuals was able to get out of the water on their own, while the other was brought safely back to shore by firefighters. That person was assessed on the scene by paramedics but did not require medical treatment.
No injuries were reported.
