A motorcyclist had to be taken to hospital by an emergency helicopter after he was thrown from his bike during a crash in Norfolk County.
Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say emergency crews responded to an area on Lower Side Road in Houghton Centre for a single-vehicle motorcycle crash.
Investigators with the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team determined the driver, a 28-year-old from Norfolk County, sustained life-threatening injuries after they were launched from the bike.
During the incident, Ornge was called to airlift the individual to a hospital in London for treatment, police say.
The investigation is ongoing and no other details have been provided. The OPP said additional updates will be provided as they become available.
