An education assistant had to be taken to hospital after being assaulted by a student at a school in St. Thomas.
The attack happened on Wednesday afternoon, St. Thomas police said. Police did not release the name of the school.
A young person, who cannot be named because of their age, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
No other details about the assault have been released, including the extent of injuries or what type of weapon was used.
The accused has been released into the custody of a parent with a future court date.
