A fairly large funnel cloud could be seen in east London near the airport Tuesday afternoon.
Following an afternoon of turbulent weather, the funnel was spotted just east of the London airport at around 2:30 in the afternoon.
A video posted on social media shows the cloud swirling, though it's not been confirmed if it made touchdown, becoming a tornado.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement early Tuesday morning while they tracked showers and thunderstorms moving northeast across the area which were expected to be out of the area by noon.
Later in the afternoon, the weather agency tacked on a heat warning as temperatures are expected to sit around 30 C for the next several days with humidex values making things feel more like 40 C.
Just before 3 p.m., a weather advisory stating conditions are favourable for the development of funnel clouds was issued for some areas east of London-Middlesex including Oxford County.
