London native Susanne Grainger has secured Canada's third gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics with the women's eight rowing crew.
The team captured gold with a time of 5.59.13 during the last day of rowing at the Sea Forest Waterway in Tokyo on Friday.
New Zealand followed .91 seconds behind the Canadian team with silver and China grabbed bronze finishing with 6.01.21.
Grainger made her Olympic debut at Rio de Janeiro 2016, the team advanced to the A final and finished fifth. The last time the women's eight won gold was at Barcelona 1992.
The 30-year-old Londoner attended the University of Virginia but later returned to the forest city in 2014 to earn a Master's degree from Western University.
Canada has garnered 11 medals so far. Earlier this week, another Londoner, Maggie Mac Neil won Team Canada's first gold medal of the Tokyo Olympics in the 100-metre butterfly.
