A third man accused in the fatal shooting of a Brampton woman last summer has been arrested in London.
London police assisted Peel Regional police in locating and arresting 28-year-old Abdulla Kaddoura on Tuesday. He has since been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Sangita Sharma. The 56-year-old woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound at a home on Treeline Boulevard in Brampton on August 13, 2020. She was rushed to hospital where she later died.
Kaddoura appeared for a bail hearing in Brampton on Wednesday.
Two other suspects in the case, both from London, were also arrested earlier in June. Fiseha Girmay Habtegabir, 19, and Malik Essue, 22, are charged with first-degree murder.
"Violent crime is a priority for our community and we are committed to preventing it whenever possible. When this isn’t possible, we are devoted to ensuring those responsible are held accountable," Peel Regional police Deputy Chief Nick Milinovich said in a statement. "This is a complex investigation which continues along with our investigators' devotion to ensuring justice and answers for Sangita Sharma’s loved ones."
Police also released surveillance video earlier this week that shows a person dressed in all black running from the scene of the August shooting before hopping into a black sedan.
They are asking anyone with information, dashcam or video footage of the incident to call the homicide and missing person bureau at 905-453-2121, extension 3205 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
