A nearly eight month investigation by London police has ended with a 45-year-old man charged with more than half a dozen child pornography offences.
Officers with the police internet child exploitation (ICE) unit were notified by the National Child Exploitation Crime Centre last November about a person uploading suspected child pornography to multiple social media applications.
On Tuesday, police searched a home on Dufferin Avenue. Evidence of alleged sharing and possession of child pornography materials was discovered, police said.
A London man, 45, was arrested. He is charged with five counts of unlawfully possessing child pornography and four counts of making child pornography available.
The man is scheduled to appear in London court on September 23.
