Charges laid in murder of Grant Norton

Eleven months after his remains were found in London, charges have now been laid in the murder of an Ingersoll man.

London police announced Thursday that two people are now charged in the death of Grant Norton. The Ingersoll man’s remains were found Sunday, July 19, 2020 in an area near Jacqueline Street and Ada Street, days after he’d been reported missing. The autopsy led the West Region Coroner to determine that Norton was the victim of a homicide.

Ashley Morgan Bourget, 36, of London has been charged with one count of first degree murde, while 36-year-old Adam Alexander Wade of London has been charged with one count of manslaughter.

According to police, Wade was already in custody in connection with an unrelated matter.

The arrests come about a month after police released surveillance photos of two people they believed were involved in the murder. Police also released a photo of the two people standing near an Audi sedan that belonged to Norton. It had been abandoned on Oliver Street.

The investigation into Norton's murder is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call London police or Crime Stoppers.
