Two London men face charges after concerned citizens' calls about a possible drunk driver led to a $34,000 drug bust.
According to London police, two calls came in around 7:30 p.m. Sunday about a white van that was swerving between lanes and into oncoming traffic on Colborne Street near Dundas Street.
"Officers were dispatched to the area, and the suspect vehicle was located turning onto Adelaide Street from Dundas Street," police said in a news release issued Tuesday. "When the driver of the van refused to stop for police, the officer pulled in front of the vehicle and prevented the van from moving further near King Street."
The driver was arrested and a search of the van turned up over 75 grams of fentantl, 1m928 Xanax pills, 389 Dilaudid pills, 63 hydromorph pills, 54 nalaxone pills, 26.9 grams of cannabis, 68 benzodiazepene pills, a digital scale, $2,700 in cash.
A 38-year-old man and a 34-year-old man face drug trafficking charges. The 34-year-old is also charged with impaired driving.
