A St. Thomas man is facing sexual assault charges in connection with a "historical" attack on a child.
St. Thomas police have released few details about the incident, except that it happened several years ago when the alleged victim was a child.
An investigation by detectives from the local criminal investigations bureau ended with a 31-year-old St. Thomas man being arrested, police said on Wednesday.
The unidentified man is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching. He was released with a future court date.
