A Woodstock man is facing a list of charges after police seized a stolen firearm, several other weapons, and drugs.
According to the Woodstock Police Service, an officer on patrol on Monday morning located the frame and parts from a motorcycle that had been reported stolen in Sarnia in October 2020. A man was arrested.
After additional investigation, police say the man was in possession of several firearms, including one that had been reported stolen in Chatham last September. Officers searched a home on Wednesday and seized 10 real and replica firearms, ammunition, a cross bow, a stolen motorcycle, stolen ATV parts, and suspected methamphetamine.
A 31-year-old Woodstock man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm obtained by crime, eight counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a Schedule 1 substance, and failing to comply with a probation order.
