No students involved in child pornography case against London teacher

Parents with children within the Thames Valley District school board are being reassured that child pornography and luring charges against a London teacher do not involve any local students.

Sean Lypaczewski, 36, a teacher at Princess Elizabeth public school, was charged late last week with two counts of luring a person under 16 through telecommunication, unlawful possession of child pornography, producing child pornography, and distributing child pornography.

On Monday, the Princess Elizabeth public school community was informed that London police "are confident the matter does not involve any Thames Valley District school board students," board officials confirmed.

Lypaczewski is currently on a paid leave of absence from the school while charges against him are before the courts. He has been a certified teacher since 2010.

The charges against him stem from an investigation by police that began in early January in relation to an online "interaction" between two people. Officers with the internet child exploitation unit searched a home on Park Lane Crescent last week, seizing cellphones and other electronics.

Lypaczewski is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charged on June 16
