Truck containing ashes stolen

London police are working to track down a pickup truck that was stolen from the downtown area containing the ashes of the owner's parents.

According to officers, a black, 2018 Nissan Titan plated AZ 81293 that was reported stolen on Friday, was involved in a hit and run on March 11. A follow-up into the crash determined the truck was stolen from a parking lot on Picton Street between Dufferin Avenue and Queens Avenue sometime between March 8 and March 11.

The owner was unaware that the truck was stolen until today. At the time it went missing, two matching white angel-shaped urns with ashes in them. The truck owner was in the process of moving to London and had yet to move the property out from the truck.

While there is no suspect information available, police are appealing to the public for information. The truck also has some distinctive features including black rims, a tonneau cover, and a black bug deflector.

Anyone who may have seen the truck recently is asked to contact London police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
