Police say shootings 'related'

London police are searching for a vehicle of interest that may be connected to a pair of shootings in the city's east end earlier this week.

At around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, gunshots were heard in the area of Marconi Boulevard south of Trafalgar Street. Officers that responded to the scene found evidence that a gun had been fired. Less than a hour later, police were notified of more gunshots being heard near Rectory Street and Walker Street. During the second incident, a window of nearby home was hit with gunfire.

On Wednesday afternoon, investigators announced that the two shootings are believed to be related and they are searching for a black, four-door Honda Civic that was seen in both areas around the same time the gunshots were fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
