Suspect arrested after house fire

An Ottawa man has been arrested in connection with a fire at an east London home.

Around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, fire crews and police officers were called to a home on Kiwanis Park Drive.

"First responders quickly determined that a small fire had been deliberately set to the residence," London police said in a news release issued Thursday. "The residence was occupied at the time, and a criminal investigation commenced. The fire was extinguished by police. There were no reported injuries."

A 48-year-old Ottawa man was arrested Wednesday.

Police have not yet said what charges he may face.
