TVDSB reports COVID-19 cases at two schools ahead of winter break

The number of active COVID-19 cases at Thames Valley schools is up by two.

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) announced Friday that the Middlesex-London Health Unit confirmed a case of COVID-19 at Westmount Public School.

The board was also notified of a case at Plattsville and District Public School by Southwestern Public Health. A breakdown of confirmed cases can be found by clicking, here.

The local public health units are investigating both cases in order to identify close contacts. Only those who are contacted directly by health officials will be advised to quarantine for 14 days.

London area schools concluded for the winter break on Friday and students were advised to take home any materials required for virtual learning should the board shut down during the break.

Classes are scheduled to resume on January 4, 2021.
