Woman confined, sexually assaulted after meeting man from dating site

A London man is facing charges after a woman reported being sexually assaulted and forcibly confined by a man she met through a dating app.

The woman told London police she had spoken with a man she met online over various platforms before agreeing to meet in-person at his home around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. While there, the woman was sexually assaulted and prevented from leaving.

She was eventually able to escape with minor physical injuries and called police.

Officers arrived on scene and arrested a suspect.
