Drivers whose commute takes them through the downtown may have to adjust their route Wednesday.
Dundas Place between Talbot and Richmond streets is being closed to all vehicle traffic for the day.
The closure is to allow for the overhead light canopy on Market Lane to be extended above traffic lanes to the north side of Dundas.
The work is expected to only take one day with the flex street slated to reopen to traffic by Wednesday night.

"Finishing touches on the light canopy in Market Lane are expected to be completed later in December, and the lights will be back-illuminated in the coming weeks," city officials said in a statement.
While Dundas will be closed to vehicles Wednesday, it will remain open for cyclists and pedestrians.
The light extension was to be completed earlier this year but was delayed due to the pandemic.
Unrelated sewer infrastructure work will also have Colborne Street between Dufferin and Princess avenues closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Detour signage will be in place.
