A 49-year-old Woodstock man has been charged in connection to a sexual assault of a minor that allegedly occurred in 2019.
Woodstock police said the 49-year-old was arrested on Thursday morning.
Community Service Officer Shaylyn Jackson told Blackburn News that Woodstock police were made aware of the matter earlier this month.
Police said the 49-year-old is charged with sexual assault of a person under 16 years of age, invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age, and sexual interference. The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
Further details on the matter will not be released by police in order to protect the identity of the victim.
