London police are hoping the public can help them identify a suspect in a break-in at a north London bank.

Officers were called to the CIBC branch at 97 Fanshawe Park Rd. around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, November 16.

"Upon police arrival, officers determined that there had been a break-in at the business, and observed significant damage to both the exterior and interior of the bank," police said in a news release issued Friday. "The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival. With the assistance of uniformed officers and a member of the LPS Canine Unit, the area was searched with negative results."

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with short dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a toque, a Waterloo Warriors hooded sweatshirt, black and red Nike running shoes, and red mittens. He was also carrying a green ‘Sobey’s’ bag at one point.

Damage to the bank is estimated at $100,000.
