Stabbing leads to arrest

London police have a man in custody after a stabbing in a downtown apartment.

Police were called around 9:15 a.m. Friday to an apartment on Dundas Street between Maitland and William Streets, where a man had been stabbed.

According to police, the victim was inside the apartment when he was stabbed by an acquaintance.

"Personal items belonging to the victim were reported stolen," police said. "The victim was transported to hospital by Paramedic Services with unknown injuries."

Officers got a description of a suspect and a 37-year-old man was arrested around 10 a.m..
